Got this for my daughter last week.

This is the 7th Duplo set and she is barely 2 years old... I'll have to make a room just for Duplos.

What does yesterday's Speeder need?  Someone to drive it of course. A first Order Snow Trooper.  He doesn't get his own blaster either, do these guys have to share or something? :shrug:

They don't hit anything, so why bother giving them a blaster :P

Well he's definitely not going to shoot anything with today's build. ;)  A fun one today with a snowblower. Once I realised what it was I came to appreciate the way this was done.

Another spacecraft yesterday and it's a doozy!  They've really gone to town of trying to get these to look right, but the downside is that trying to work out how to build these from a single picture inside the calendar is a challenge.  At first I thought we were looking at a First Order shuttle as used by Kylo Ren, but on checking I found out I was wrong and we've moved to the Rogue One film and we have Director Krennic's shuttle. 8)

Yesterday we got a Imperial Officer, presumably here to command Director Krennic's shuttle.  Unlike our other baddies this year he at least gets his own blaster. :D

Today we got one of my all time favourite Star Wars ships; the Y-Wing. 8)  I know I've said it before but I'm really impressed with the micro ship builds this year.

Good chap. :hatsoff:  Here's a borrowed pic of that previous rendition of the Y-wing from the Calendars;

It's fine and all and you can tell what it's supposed to be, but you can see why I'm going on about how big a step forward this year's builds are.

Yet another very well exicuted craft this morning.  Continuing the Rogue One theme we get a T.I.E Stiker, the in-atmosphere fighter used to try and stop the rebels from stealing the Death Star plans.

In fact we've now got quite the flotilla of craft present at the Battle over Scarif.  8)

Digging through pawn and thrift places for something unrelated, and found a place locally that has big bins of lego for like $8 per pound. Doing a quick search on ebay, that looks like a pretty good deal.

Another two-for-one day ('cos I'm rubbish at this apparently). :whistle:  Yesterday we got this:

Anyone recognise it straight away?  It certainly took me a while to work out that it's the hover tank that gets ambushed on Jakku.  Given the high standard of the builds this year I'm a bit "meh" about this one TBH.  :shrug:

This morning we got another minifigure.  I'm sure he has a better name than "Imperial Ground Controller" that I've given him, but if he does then I don't know what it is. :D

We're on the home stright now and it's my last build of the year (My wife, daughter and I take turns).  Happily it's another top notch one for me with a AT-ST.  I've got to say this is something I more associate with Return of the Jedi, but it does make an appearance in Rogue One so it still fits in with the current theme.  I have to say that the Rebels are getting very outnumbered this year.

This was gift to grandson (9 yo) this Christmas would have thought I gave him a Red Rider BB gun,  he never let it out of sight, even saw him hug it a couple of times, he told me he never thought he would “ever, ever get a City set”.

As part of the movie promo tie in at Carrefour (think Walmart type place) for 2 points and a euro or three euros without points. Scale might be a tad off for reenactments...  :facepalm: :rofl:

Those wee packet builds are excellent for distracting small kids for an hour or so.  That one captures the look very well I'd say.
