My memory of the exact eras and factions is fuzzy at best, but I'm not sure that those guys are all friends?

(Space explorers? blacktron?) and the red sets are a later era (Mtron? I think they were paired up with Ice Planet?)

Edit: Internet has corrected me, Explorers was a later set, those blue dudes are team Futuron, apparently the late eighties/early nineties ending things with "on" was the fashion)

MOC?

My Own Creation, not a kit (or at least not built to the instructions) nor a random freebuild. The planned, and often built first in specialized CAD tools (I like Studio from Bricklink), creations of AFOLs and TFOLs (Adult/Teen Fan Of Lego) who have too much free time on our hands. And then you get into the people who talk about being a purist vs non, with purists using ONLY components from The Lego Group (TLG)- I on the other hand will use "some" non-TLG components, but mostly minifigure accessories since my return to Lego as an adult was using them in roleplaying games.

Like fashion. I see what you did there :)

I like that in the current Lego Movies sets there are several references to the classic space era (old minifig torsos and helmets).

Love the Futuron monorail. Really. Best of Lego of my youth (Futuron, Blacktron, M-Tron, Space-Police...)

Will post a couple of pictures of my Lego Space diorama when I can ;-)

Great stuff. From memory (Christmases past) white and red astronauts were from the first spacey sets that were mainly blue and grey with yellow windows etc and revolved around a moonbase type setting - very late 70s/early 80s? Then came the yellow ones, followed by blue then black towards the end of the 80s. I could come up with numbers, but I can't be arsed.

MMR, there were some docs in I think Australia who published a paper a few months ago. They all ate a lego head, which is basically a 10mm dia, 9.6mm tall cylider with well rounded corners. All of them were fine. ABS is pretty much biologically inert.

But they ate heads. Not bricks. With the scratchy corners.

If you're going to eat bricks, might I suggest with just a few 1x1s at first? Maybe even rounded ones? Then work up to something like a 2x4 or a larger plate like a nexogon?

That Blacktron ship was definitely captured by the Space Police according to my son.
