I sent my original Leatherman Wave tool to Oregon about three weeks ago. I had owned this tool since 2001, and used extensively for the past seven years. On weekends, it is my constant companion.  I have used other tools (pocket knives, Gerber tools), but nothing compares to  the usefulness and rugged ability of the Leatherman. No other tool feels so responsive, so substantial in my hand. I broke the plier jaws while putting together my daughters’ new swing set, I needed to tighten a bolt from both ends, and instinctively reached for my Leatherman. The torque broke the pliers on the tool.

Leatherman sent me a new Wave as a replacement.

Great tool, great company.  It is good to see an American company that treats its customers so well.

Couldn't agree more, Def.

Though missed my Wave those three weeks that I went and bought a Kick. Good backup, but couldn't get beyond the inside blade placement!

Yeah, but now if you ever worried about damaging your Wave again, you can just use your Kick instead.  ;)

Yeah, and I did find out that the clip and all accesories are not covered by the warranty, only the tool is, but they still replaced it no questions asked. That says alot for the company!!
