I love having scissors AND a nail file at the same time.  I can cut moleskin and clean up nails on dirty hikes. I can only do that with my Wenger Handyman until the mailman delivers my Compact. This is the other side of "Sheila Sexsmith". Says "Mitra" in a different font.

As for jeans, I switched from "skinny" to "slim" a few years back..might have to go to "straight leg" now. 39yrs on Aug 7th...  It's all over.

Victorinox makes pants right? I'll have to see if they make a 40's fit for next year.

I think artsy Jeff Goldblum types over 40 can get away with the skinny suit. I do have a couple of those. Anything bigger than a Classic has to go in the jacket pockets.

Is that a SAK in your pocket or..?

It took me a bit to really appreciate the Compact. At first I was underwhelmed by it. But it grew on me, and now sees a ton of pocket time. Aa a "walking around the city" knife, it's perfect. The combo tool is quite versitile, though too thin for prying. But out and about in a decent sized city (third largest in NJ), it's a handy tool that's seen quite a bit of use. :tu:

Yeah I had to buy something. I just lost an auction at the last minute which included a Cybertool L.
The usual "Assorted Knives, Various Models" type listing. I was in at the last few seconds but someone was JUST after me and won by 1 cent.
$60.01 for a Cybertool L and some tinkers, I think a compact, camper, etc. But it was probably somebody on here so cheers!

Not sure how you got that pic of me tho. Thought that had been destroyed.

This is what I was carrying today and most of the times.

However, without realizing, it turned out that I had my Compact as well after going through my bag. Forgot I put there for months

I blame you all. I picked up a compact about a month and a half ago and I haven't carried any of my other SAKs or other knives since

Compact+Rambler (along with a ThruNite Ti Hi) has been my favorite urban EDC combo of late. It's starting to get the majority of pocket time over my previous Tinker Small+Manager loadout.

Completely agree!  My problem is the strong attachment that I have for the Explorer and to a lessor extent, the Yeoman.  If I carry a Compact, it is as a 2nd SAK.

I hear you. I always carry a Tinker and Minichamp with me. My left front pocket is my switch-out/rotation pocket for my secondary knife.

I was looking for the perfect SAK for my girlfriend.
Initially I figured a Climber would be perfect, but I wanted a nailfile on the MPHook so I eventually picked the Compact.

The funny thing is, I still haven't gifted it to her
Because:
- I like it very much myself
- she wants mint green scales!

As far as I know that colour does not exist and I'm working on a way to get my hands on them. It's quite possible I have to make them myself  :(

Having a desk job, I don't need anything real heavy duty, but the blades on anything smaller than the 84mm SAKs leave me wanting more blade.
Plus, I find scissors very useful.  So I carried a Compact 5 days a week for years.  Served me well.  Then this happened:
