Great set of tool for edc, light weight and i found that combotool is more convenient for me than the divided openers, only if  i do not take its to use as a screwdriver and mini crowbar.

I think the Compact is an example of a SAK that punches way above its weight (to use a boxing analogy). It's only two layers and yet it has an excellent span of functionality. I carry it when I want a blade and scissors in a slim form factor.  I am definitely a fan of the Compact.

+1  The Compact is special to me... it's the SAK that got me back in to SAK's.  Believe it or not. El Corkscrew was a mostly just a Tinker man for most of my life.   Now I scarcely carry a Tink... and feel like the Compact or Climber is "the" SAK for me...  if we're talking practicality.

My wife has a 7 volume set of Van Gough letters and I sometimes use one of those volumes as a background.  Lately, I have just been taking photos of SAKs on my hobby table.

Great analogy, Jim. I absolutely agree that the 84mm & 91mm Golfers/Compacts punch way above their weight.   :2tu:

Carried my Custard Compact today and from the moment I picked it up I thought "Yes this works just right". Still working this evening. You can't beat Custard though milk chocolate almonds aren't half bad  :like:

It's so convenient carrying a two-layer SAK with scissors. My trusty Compact had package opening detail today. I can't even feel it in my pocket and quickly forget about it until I need it...

I've been carry this Chinese hunk of metal in my wallet, surprisingly, it's not uncomfortable.  I figure if I end up need to pry something, I'll spare my combo tool and use that thing.   It looks capable of a lot though, honestly.

I don´t carry a Compact very often. I like it for adding scissors, a pin and a pen to some of my regular carries.

Hey Compact Users, how's with your blade centering? I recently got my Compact and found that blade is aligned a little bit out of the center to the right (closer to combo tool), after few openings and closings I see little scratches on the blade and combo tool, is it normal for that model? Thanks
