Had not noticed before today but I really like the hidden nail file in the back of the hook, nice to see a surprise on a tool you've had for 8 years

Reminds me of an incident some years ago where I mentioned the tooth pick and tweezers on a SAK.  He looked at me funny and said "What?".
I slid out the T&T and he remarked that he thought the grey and putty colored nail pulls "were just a design".

nice kamakiri, I always wanted a backup, but they are too pricey these days, maybe I can find one on ebay.

I went through a bunch more saks to find more hook files, so far my voyager lite is the only one I found, gonna check my other storage box soon, Vic should put this hook/file on more models.

 :iagree:
 Thanks, Blackbeard! I get them as cheap as I can on *bay when buying them for mod fodder. And they're expensive enough when I'm just using them for the combo tool and the hook/file. I think every hook should have the file.  It's also a reason I have a Voyager Lite.  At the very least, I think it should be on every hook when on a knife without a metal saw.

I know it wasn't you. Honeymoons and Syph007 customs are more important than second hand Compacts. Nothing wrong with a second hand Compact ( ), but still.

Two of them modded from corkscrew to Phillips. The perfect Sak?

The Compact with Phillips? I think it's as close you can get to perfection when talking about compact, pocketable urban EDC SAK's. And I don't even have one, although I have and frequently carry the next best thing, a DofE.

I absolutely love the Compact. I have a fairly good SAK collection, but the Compact has everything I need on a daily basis. I EDC the Compact everyday and will to the day I die.

I think it is pretty close, which is why I had a mod made.

Just received my first Compact. Purchased it on Ebay from a seller located both in France and Switzerland. The only color of the current pallet of knives I did not have was yellow.  So its a yellow Compact. It is a nice color. I have read other's comments that say  " The combo tool makes the best bottle opener." Now from first hand experience I concur it does!

About 6 months late here, but this is a lovely combo, roamingcat.  Is your Sinn a 556 or a 656?
