Day 23: Thinking about doing some work to the cigar box I use as a nightstand valet. Testing ideas out with cardboard.

Some things I've considered:
-putting in thin dividers (probably balsa)
-drilling holes somewhere to run charger cables through
-Making the dividers interchangeable, or putting on some kind of hinges so they can be folded down when necessary.
-putting elastic or mesh under the top lid to hold items
-building a tray insert to give it two levels

Anyone have some good ideas?

Stick a smallish closet led light (where you press the light to turn it on )to the bottom of the lid so you can find items in the dark. I think you can find those at the dollar store.

Similar to these... http://www.amazon.com/Fulcrum-30010-301-Battery-Operated-Stick--Silver/dp/B000R7PM36/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1448487719&sr=8-5&keywords=led+closet+light

Day 30: Cutting up a brownie. Why? Because nothing is sweeter than beating this challenge!

Overall, didn't think the challenge was too bad. The toughest part was remembering to take a picture when I did stuff. The Juice XE6 is already my daily carry, and more than adequate to meet my mostly urban needs. It was even able to do light sawing/sanding when I converted the cigar box into my nightstand organizer! Speaking of which, here are some pics of what I have done to it. These are before I cleaned it up so excuse the wood shavings/glue. I lined the box with felt that I ripped out of an old pen case, and I used some small hinges on the divider so it can fold down. This was also my first try at modifying a cigar box. I might try it again with some better materials in the future.
