Style CS void filled
on: December 04, 2015, 11:02:00 AM
I use my Style CS as a friendly EDC for small stuff and it´s a great back up.
I noticed that there is like a void beside the blade that is a bit annoying for a multitool nut.

One thing I miss is a toothpick since I have these difficult teeth that always get food stuck.
I noticed I could fit the large Vic toothpick beside the blade in a almost perfect fit without obstructing the blades path and it sits very securely:

Been carrying it like this for a while and it seems to work fine.

Pretty cool!

Now I can begin carrying my Alox Vics. I carry the Sportsman most of the time because of the toothpick. I can begin carrying the Cadet now!

Thanks!

Just tested it in my Style PS. Works, but I'm going to trim the toothpick a little. The scissors take up a little more space than the blade. Maybe a Vic Classic or a Wenger toothpick will work best, I think they're thinner.

Fantastic! I've been trying to find new ways to carry a toothpick, without being confined to cellidor vics. Does it interfere with opening and closing the blade?

Not at all. It is as if it was made for it. Take note it is the style CS. The PS has a smaller space since it has scissors where CS has the blade. It works great.

Ive been considering a keychain scissor based multin for a while now, but the lack of toothpick always had me think twice. I think I may have to spring for a Style CS now... I cant wait to see what the other guy comes back with regarding the 58mm toothpick in the Style PS, as I rather like bladeless setups.

58mm toothpicks are definitely thinner, but not by much. Dont have any Wenger toothpicks though

Scissor based key chain tools make great back ups for medium  sized multis like Skeletool and Rebar oe even ST or PST that don't have scissors. You really feel fully equipped with these very capable scissors in a keychain size. They also make good tools on their own in an Office setting for example. The only small thing that nagged me was missing a toothpick and couldn't bring myself to add a classic just for the toothpick so this solution is perfect for me so far.
