Some 20 years ago, during the Perestroyka, my dad bought this picnic knife in Ukraine. Last night, I've found it at my parents' house and decided to bring it back into shape. After dunking it in hot water (to get the joints moving again), sharpening, cleaning it up and oiling (with vegetable oil), I realized someone here might like it. Here are some photos taken with my dad's camera (love it while it's here
):
As you can see, there are no markings of any kind on the blade. The steel is clearly not the same as used by Victorinox, but it
has survived so far... Anyway, it'd be nice to trade it for some kind of plain blade folder to leave my parents. SAKs are generally too small for my father's hands (I got mine from the mother's side) but anything over 100 mm should be fine. He specifically asked not to bother with anything more than 2-3 layers wide. The price tag is 27 $ with free shipping, because that's how much a Wenger Ranger costs from Tim.
So... any takers?
