What kind of colored alox would you like to see produced?

As some of you might know, I work for one of the largest Victorinox retailers in the Netherlands. We are currently doing some research in producing our own colored alox run (Probably Farmers or Pioneer). What kind of color would you guys like to see get into production? Consider anything possible!

I would like to see more of the bright colors being produced.  I missed out on getting some of those.  I like the color combinations produced for the Danish special orders.  Red shield on medium blue or forest green.

Any color other than silver. Would just like to see some colors readily available, and not at premium prices.

The colours aren't the deciding factor for me, it's the texture and the lack of toothpick and tweezers that's the deal breaker for me. Change the texture, and I'll consider trying alox again

You've mentioned this before Al - what pattern would you prefer, and what is it about the checker texture you don't like?

I'd like to see alox ramblers available at reasonable prices. Pioneers are nice in dif. colors, and nobody does batches of red 93's anymore...

It's just the feel of them I don't like. You know how some people don't like the feel of a wooden lollipop stick on an ice cream, or wooden chip fork, it's just like that. It doesn't feel right somehow. I used to work with a bloke who couldn't stand the feel of polystyrene packaging. I don't have a problem with the 58s, just the larger ones. I can't use one for for any length of time as it just sets my nerves on edge

I think red would be good but maybe a dark shade, like a burgundy or brick red, to be a bit different.  Or maybe an autumnal orange/brown.
Grey with a red cross could look pretty smart - has that been done before?
I wonder if Victorinox would do a contrast-colour shield in something other than red, that could be interesting and unusual.  Blue with an orange shield, green with a yellow shield, something like that.
I'm not a big fan of the lurid "zombie" colours.  Keep it classy :)

I'd focus on colors not done to increase variety and demand.  For example, pink/rose would be great, especially in a Cadet type size.  I bet a lot would be sold as gifts for wives/girlfriends/moms.  I would also consider something unique, like combinations of colors with one scale being one and the other scale being something completely different.  Red/blue or yellow/black.  A lot of those color combinations work well for cars so why not knives.

Personally, I'd like to see a readily available light blue with an old cross stamp and no panels.  Probably not going to happen but a guy can dream.

Good luck! I'm sure it will turn out great and you'll get quite a few sales with any color you choose.

TBH I'm not interested in colors if they cost way more.

Colors I would like:
- light blue
- grey (titanium grey), classy without being boring black
- something really well visible, like neon yellow (like in a neon-marker) or stayglow. <= for this I would pay extra :salute:

I would like to see no new colors, but I would like to see new designs and scissors.

I would like to see no new colors, but I would like to see new designs and scissors.

New designs require new tooling and that costs money. That being said there was some talk by Robert Elsener I think that we'll soon see scissors in the 93mm lineup.

As for colors, green, blue, red, orange and black variations have been done recently so maybe some darker gray would be nice.

I like the idea of the keyringless models too. :tu:

And a model that wouldn't require any tooling and is desired by most is the ALOX Rambler. The Greek distributor did them last year in red and silver and they sold out pretty quickly.

Maybe try ordering orange ALOX Ramblers (Oranje and all that. ;) ) and add blue red and white to the mix so people can make the Dutch flag with their Ramblers. >:D

I would like to see brighter colors widely available.  Like a bright green, or purple.  Can't go wrong with the standard red.  I wish the standard red was widely available. :o

Regretfully not a possibility. The use of the federal shield is not allowed. Only on Soldier models and in case of the Black beauty, Swiss railways.

Fair enough.  Wet lollipop sticks get me, so I know where you're coming from.

I'd like more models in black with a red shield (specifically an Electrician with scissors ), and (even more wishfully) more plain silver old cross.

Thanks everyone from the responses! Lots of different answers but from what I gather something bright and colorful that hasn't been done lots and lots of times before has the most votes.
