Got a Spyderco Tenacious with custom micarta scales from a trade. Last time I owned a Spydie was almost twenty years ago

very nice!
Those China made Spydercos are awesome folders for the $,

and your scales are a true step up!    :like:

Thanks :)

I got it from a trade. I must admit though that I've been spoiled by Kershaw's SpeedSafe action that I feel like a thumb hole is a throwback. I'm trying to get used to it again.

Between the post office and a local gun show, a very productive day:

Remington Jumbo Trapper with curly maple handles. 30th Anniversary Bullet Knife. (Spartan19 put me on to this.     )

Old Western Stockman, made just up the road in Longmont, Colorado.

Victorinox Explorer White Christmas 2017.

GEC 48 came in today it is a very nice knife. The F&F, W&K, grinds are excellent. It has a medium + pull and crisp half stop. All the good things that GEC is known for.  The "Pickle Green" color took a while to warm up to from the pics . In hand it is better to my eye any way.

This 48 is slim and feels real good in the hand. There is a two bladed version that has a wharncliff as the second blade. That is real tempting. this is so much better than the 4 1/8 Trappers I use to carry when I was young.

Thats good to hear. A lot of these old three bladed knives have one blade that is weaker than the others. One of the knives I was after was a Schrade Cut Co Toothick with beautiful Peachseed jigged bone covers. These dont pop up that often. The blade was a little rough but over all it was a good knife. I got out sniped in the end. Some of those Schrade collectors are some serious players with deep pockets.  :D   The hunt continues. There are plenty more out there.

The main blade is a bit weaker than the other two but still plenty strong.

I got sniped on a really nice Camillus ebony jack that I  thought I  had in the last second the other day.   :

My reason for swapping to the tasman from Pacific is that I'm not dealing with big ropes anymore. My Pacific it was a very good tool , I can said  amazing one who served me well.
