Thanks to Poncho I'm now the proud owner of a GiantMouse Ace Biblio...

this is such a sweet knife , designed by Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes. Bohler M390 blade and carbon fiber scales. Usually it takes me weeks to decide on a knife to buy, but this, I had to have the second I saw it.

Cool knife Etherealicer! :like: :tu: :tu:

I got the knife configured for carry, and added a lanyard.

Remington (Camillus) Medium Lockback; similar to the Camillus Sierra; but that model was OHO.  Really strong for its small size of 3 5/8 closed. The lock was gunked up ; making it hard to release; and the blade needed some sharpening. Still have to do just a bit more work on both problems. It's usable now.

And while awaiting the offer I made on the Remington ($7 from $10, so low I figured the seller wouldn't take it; but they did), I noticed this sizeable lot for $10 plus the $8 cost of a flat rate box ending in one minute, and couldn't help myself.

Camillus Cutlery Co. TL-29. WWII issue. Appears to be in good condition, but in reality has a big problem. The screwdriver backspring is broken. I have several of later Delrin-scaled 27 Electrician Knife for spares. I'm thinking I'll have it rebuilt. Also a couple pin cracks in the wood, which I would presume came from the factory that way nearly 80 years ago Or even try myself. So far, my measurements are making it look like a 27 backspring will work.

Craftsman (Imperial) 9560 Electrician's knife. Except for some weird staining/reside on the blade and the typical shrinkage of the handle material, it is in very good condition, and was probably used very little. Seems as though it has its factory edge too. I will likely just collect this one, not use it.

Klein Tools (Kutmaster) hawkbill. I already have quite a few of these, but this one is unused. "BB" date code; which leads me to believe it's not that old. But, a lot better quality than the Kutmaster-marked one I have. Gotta quit buying them, but when I start the carpentry apprenticeship later this year, I'll be using them, so great to have a few backups.

Imperial USA "Kamp King". Average shape. I already have one, but it's newer. Guessing this is a 1950s version; compared to the 1970s one that was my great-uncle's. Seems a bit more solidly built. Also, a bit smaller. Was surprised at how easily I got a good edge on it.

And the seller threw in these others. Really, wish they hadn't (due to the increase in shipping cost caused by these heavy metal handle utility knives, but I presume the seller was only using flat rate boxes, and threw them in to fill the box); but I can always use a few more utility knives.

Things Remembered small lockback.  Mostly, Things Remembered sold inexpensive items to be engraved. This is no exception, and shows traces of where a monogram was engraved on the handle, and a poor attempt to remove it.

Taylor 72OT.

Craftsman sliding utility knives, large and small. Interesting thing is that the blade carrier slides out, not a blade as do most sliding utility knives.

Another Craftsman; I think the Kobalts were made by whoever made these for Sears.

Kobalt Utility Knife (already have one, had it for years, my personal favorite utility knife; my grandmother keeps stealing that one, so guess she gets this one).

Reason why--strong clip and great blade removal mechanism.

Picked up a Wenger Highlander and Recon 1 early model.  The Recon is a big knife I got it to move on.  Its lost a bit of the tip but looks to be in nice condition.  The Wenger is a close cousin to my Tinker minus the small blade.  He offered them at a very fair price so.....

Just got another way overpriced toy (MMR would have a heart-attack seeing this :D).
Anyway, it is a Klötzli, designed as a pry-knife (I think it was meant for the Swiss border-guard). I could go on about what is wrong with it (price, poor symmetry of the grind etc...). However, this knife is light (160g) and really well balanced (COP is on the front screw). Having held a couple of daggers, none has ever felt so well in my hand, gotta say, LOVE IT!!!

Nah, as dagger it would be illegal. But as pry knife it is completely legal.

That Klotzli is interesting.  Presumably the tip is that way because border security may need to pry open crates or canisters, yet still may need to cut cord and box tape. PUT that tother wit a crare hammer and you'very got bother ends of the shpiping and receiving toolimits set. Efficient design.

A sort of elegant (by today's standards) but sharp and sturdy Buck model 192 Vanguard. This one is from the first year they made them, 1992, and was made with the 425M steel

Brass finger guard and pommel. It wasn't in bad shape when I picked it up at all, but you can see the difference between the guard and pommel - I Brasso'd the guard...

So, I have now purchased a 1978 Buck 110, a 1978 Western 062, and this 1992 Buck Vanguard 192 from Joe. All good quality and all in very good shape needing only very minor cleanup. He does have a bowie and an AG Russell for sale at the moment, both very nice, but neither of those are in my wheelhouse.

We have each other's number in case something different presents itself.
