I had this a while, since a third cousin of mine passed away. He didn't have much and I was asked to help move his stuff out of the retirement home when he died. This was kind of the only thing worth keeping. An old KutMaster with a blade broken off. It was almost a ball of rust, but I spent a few hours today getting it back to a useful condition. Made a small utility blade from the broken blade, cleaned/polished up the other blades, and cleaned/polished the handles/bolsters/and liners.
My family is rather small, so I was closer than most would be with a third cousin. Don't have any first cousins. This was the only thing I have to remember him by, as there wasn't much he originally had in his retirement apartment. He did have his old pocket knife, but it had been thrown in a toolbag for a decade with no oil on it, along with an assortment of dollar-store screw drivers and China socket set. :(

I figured he might appreciate this if he were around to see it.

Thank you very much, gentlemen!

It always saddens me to go through people's stuff, when they have passed away. I'm quite sentimental and do try to find mementos to remember them by. A good pocket knife is just one of the best things for that purpose.  :)

My cousin's KutMaster will see pocket time, once again, soon.

Good scores!    :like:   What size is the Kutmaster? I have two that are 3 7/8" but have square bolsters.

:like:  Especially the Kutmaster's bone. I'm a big fan of the 301.   I have a Camillus made 303, but not even a Buck made user 301 (I do have a 1992 301 but it was the 1993 Christmas knife for a local quarry (who was bought out last year and changed names), and is like-new, so I don't dare carry it).  Thinking I'll get one in wood.

Got this BRK Bush Seax in A2 steel ordered. Its kind of a departure from my normal taste in a knife. But for some reason this knife caught my attention several years ago and I've been eye balling it ever since. This particular knife has been on my radar for a while and finally decicded to buy it and try it out. Sellers pics.
