Thank you Dean, Steve and Tony!

Good deal on that Western Camper Steve. When you get it will you post a pic of the tang stamp. If its what I think it is it's proably a 50's or early 60's production.    :tu:

This Kabar 1148 is a little different than most electricians as it does not have half stops and the nail nick is out toward the ens of the screw driver blade which makes it easier to open.

Those tang stamps are like the ones on my 901 and other Western knives. I'm not an expert on the subject but from the research I've done I think these tang stamps indicate 50's to early 60's time frame.      :)

Bocote, then the collar is some black plastic I got for SAK scales with brass.

Yeah, as I recall I was going for a nice graceful clip, and well I am still learning.  Also to me it seems fat, but it will slice paper and chop wood, so it can't be that bad.

Camco 551 Barlow.Won this knife dirt cheap. I was actually surprised its of decent quality. Some of the finish isnt to great but fit is better than some more expensive knives I've seen over the years. Like so many of these old knives they were owned by folks who didnt know how to sharpen a knife. It will take a little time to get the edge where it needs to be.

Found this on the bay & put in a $26 bid,  I just love a good bargain. Blades are a bit off center but otherwise it's perfect. It'll make a good user
