Love the leather covered Laguiole.  I bet that will only improve with wear and use.  :salute:

Nice touch with the cigale on the pivoting pin. I love the shape of the Laguiole.

British Army "Clasp" knife by Joseph Rodgers & Sons.  Two blade version (no great big spike on the back), late war style can opener with the added bottle opener tool.  Just post-war production and everything is as it should be bar a little loss at the tip of the blade.

I simply love looking at the new ones that pop up here.
Latest that I've gotten is my Chinese Higonokami copy.  Really pleased with the interpretation.  The torx fasteners work well to adjust the blade.

ER Lajolo Urban posing here with my La Prima version of the same knife:

The new basic version has no motifs on the handle, pocket clip screws are not totally flat and obviously the blade itself is stone washed instead of coated like in La Prima.

I recently went to a gun show and found a guy selling a bunch of knives.  Most of his stuff was really expensive, spyderco, benchmade, tom brown tracker, etc.  But off to the side he had a pile of Shrade boxes next to an interesting OTF.

I have never owned an OTF before and I always wanted one, but the ones I have come across were either complete knockoff garbage for $25-$50, or really expensive high end OTFs like the Benchmade and Microtech.  (which I was planning to save up for eventually.  This guy was selling Shrade Viper OTFs for $20.

Shrade is not my favorite brand but I have had some decent knives and tools from them in the past.  So this felt like a good deal.

Days later I was using it at work with my Signal to fix some power cables.

Yeah, it's a great knife.  Really nicely weighted pull on the blade.  F&F is pleasing.  I'm not convinced the Ablett design "ergonomic" shape adds much to the equation but I don't hate it either.

In my ever-present quest to find the perfect gentlemen’s folder, I saw the CJRB Ria on sale and tried it out. So far I like it. For the bargain price it’s got excellent build quality and materials. The only issue I’ve had so far is the thumb stud can be difficult to use at first because the handle is so slim. It’s hard to know how to grip it. Maybe a knife this thin would work better with a flipper tab? Overall I’m getting more comfortable with opening it and am glad I picked it up.
