An owner's club not started by zed? :ahhh

I think we'll have to check the rules and regulations if this is allowed. >:D

Glad you're liking your new multi.

Glad you're enjoying it.  From the pics it looks to be a bit out of its target element.  Be interested to see how it performs.

I should be on the trail in a few weeks. I'll try and get some "in the target element" pics if I can.

My opinion of it is obviously not very high.  However, my perspective comes as a hard use tradesman and it's an epic fail in this department but I realize it's a niche tool and I've seen little analysis of its functionality as a bush tool.  I'll be interested to see some observation of practical use.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not expecting it to really excel in the day to day; I have my other LMs for that... though if it surprises me and holds up, it may make it to my EDC occasionally. I usually hike with my Skele CX because it's light and very capable but there are a couple tools on the Signal that I'd like to have had on a couple hikes but certainly didn't want the weight of my Wave. I know the  Signal is a good bit heavier than the Skele but I'm willing to give it a shot and see what happens on the trail.

If it performs adequately in its intended environment Leatherman may be able to make lemonade out of this one.  I gotta feeling the price will have to come down, but I can see it finding a place if it works OK in the bush.

Well the other factor in my purchase was that I found it at cutleryshoppe.com for $72 ... That helped my decision :-)

That's definitely a good sign that the price is coming down.  If the distributors are getting it cheaper then maybe Leathermans sales aren't meeting projections and they are listening to the noise.....don't know, but I'm glad you got a good deal.

im glad to see it as well. I don't think a ferro rod w a whistle, a micro file and a pommel warrant it costing so much more than a Wave.

Haha, probably wouldn't be a good idea to start a fire at work ;)  I could try at my dad's though when working there during this wreathing season.  I could burn some brush, or at least attempt to

Right, it's certainly not geared towards the tradesman, that's for sure.  I too am interested to see it in use out in the wild :tu:

The price for the Signal has been $72.40 from the first day it appeared in inventory at CS,until it was raised to $74.80 just recently.

I don't understand why anyone would want to pay full retail price for any tool,SAk or Leatherman.

You don't have to leave your house, deal with traffic, waste time and gas and pay sales tax if you buy from dealers such as CS.
