And for me, outside-opening tools - though then it would no longer be a Bond.
Hey, wait. That's mine! .
I’m pretty much the exact target customer for the BondI’m in the UK, don’t have a legal “good reason” such as a hobby or work to carry a locking blade most of the time, and decided to retire my 90s PST because I’d be upset if I lost it after all these years together. It still just misses the mark for me somehow. The Bond is just a tiny bit bulkier and less symmetrical than the PST. I like it, but I don’t love it. I’d definitely buy a Bond II with a combo blade and scissors though.
I like that it's not a fancy, gadgeted up doodad with fancy colors and swooping shapes designed to attract hipsters who will never actually use it.It's good that LM is still making real tools occasionally.Def
I’ve got terrible news about the fancy colours…I don’t mind Leatherman making coloured Bonds. It makes sense to introduce a bit of fun to an entry level tool to attract new customers. I just wish they’d stick to one colour per tool, not the mid-matched handles thing. Are you happy with the blade on the original Bond? Mine has a bit of movement, but I’ve never come close to cutting myself when I’m using the pliers.

Ever since Grant started this tread I have wanted a Bond, I dont need it, my Rebar is just as good. It also made me look at the Curl, I like that one also but I got my Charge. I like them but dont need them. What to do, they look so nice and shiny.
They made their name on good, solid, reliable tools and I wished that was more prevalent nowadays.
