The flower looks like it might eat the bee :o :ahhh Great pic and that is a beatiful flower :like:

Also can't tell from the pic is that a capenter bee or a bumble bee

Kept looking back and forth with other pics and I guess it is a carpenter bee :tu:

It was a bumble bee. Had another pic that showed the bumble bee much better but I didn't like the angle of the MT.

I've never really been a fan of the Signal, but the green/topo REI version looks pretty sweet. I mean, it's a surefire way for me to lose $110ish within an hour in the woods, as I would absolutely drop this somewhere, but it looks cool nonetheless!

A little bit, helps retain the hook. You could ground doun the awl base slightly to allow the hook blade tip to go in smoothly. Im still working and trialling on some more mods....cant get enough of a good thing lol

Gave in ... to the GREEN side.  :ahhh

Leatherman is now selling the REI Green version on their website, and I added engraving.
Figured it would be a good companion tool to carry with the newer BioLite CampStove 2 bundle. PepsiCo gave us a bonus this year, so I decided to splurge a little. And am planning on getting out and do some camping this year. Have a portable Seagull S8 mandolin to take with me too. About all I really need now is a pickup with camper shell, and a fishing license. :D  And a woman ... dog.

Signal arrived last week. Ordered in a pocketed sheath, and notice the sheath that came with the Signal was slimmer and not quite as long as the generic ones being sold that can hold the Surge. A tad thicker as well, but ... found with the Fenix E12 to get it stuffed into the elastic pocket.

Like that it is lighter & slimmer, and that whistle is loud enough to scare Robins away! Not tried the ferrocerium rod yet. The Awl needs to be more of a tapered design for sewing purposes. Undecided about the file. Tempted to throw in a spare Surge file in the back sheath pocket area.

Biggest question I have on this tool is why did Leatherman not add a blade or scissors on the back side adjacent to the pocket clip?? :twak:
