Got my Signal today... and two Tootsie Pops rolls out of the envelope  :woohoo: Thank you Cutlery Shoppe  :tu:

Order placed Friday night and got it on Monday. Great job Cutlery Shoppe! Had to time my lunch hour so I could intercept it at the mail box.... totally worth it. Looks very nice. Very compact to what I imagined it would be. Feels very light too, just a little bit heavier than the Juice KF4 I was carrying.

I noticed that it was partially open and thought that the pivots might need tightening. Played with it and thought it was a good thing because I do not need to break it in and then thought it sucks because it will just flop open when carrying it. That's when I noticed the slider lock... a nice touch in my opinion.

Well, I got to wait 2 more weeks for the Juice challenge to end. Till then I will just have to refrain my self to touch but not play.  :wait:

While you've got those two to hand, could I make a pic request please?  :salute: any chance of a pic of the KF4 alongside the handle with the caribiner, to compare the length of the Juice with the length of the handle before the clip starts (hope that makes sense)

Welcome rishardh   I love that slide lock as I had that same thought when I first played with mine.  I'm assuming that looseness is intentional then, but not sure.

When I first removed the tool from its box,it struck me as the most visually striking tool Leatherman has made recently.

After playing with it around our country retreat,I came to the conclusion that it would make a wonderful tool for the younger generation. When I arrived home I ordered six more for our grandkids. This tool will be their first multi-tool.

These photos illustrate that it isn't necessary to open the main body of the tool and then close it,in order to use its individual tools. As a matter of fact by keeping the main body of the tool open you have more leverage.

Unlike one of our members who denigrated the tool and continued to belabor his point,I see this tool as being perfectly capable for its intended purpose.Perhaps this is the difference between two people who look at the proverbial glass of water and one person sees that glass as half empty and the other person sees the glass as half full.LOL.

It's a good tool but not perfect, there is no perfect tool.

Add me to this club of owners. Hoorah !

Welcome Toolguy   I agree with your thoughts on the inner tool usage with the handles extended (which I mentioned in my review), as well as how cool it looks.  Your grandchildren are lucky ;)

Agreed

In a pinch the crap would work, would I take it as back up, not on your life. That's why I took mine off. The tool is bare bones but that is what I like about it. I like to carry an SAK so not much duplicates.

Exactly this as it relates to carrying a SAK with it.  It's perfect for that.  I certainly wouldn't carry the Signal as a standalone item though for sure.
