I like that one a lot.  Reminds me of my first ever knife. :)

Got an SRM slipjoint, H02 in Blue micarta.

It has a:

7 cm blade (under 3", so good for most places).

Half stop (via a notch)

Mirror polished blade

Filework and blueing on the back spring

One hand opening

Shown with a trapper for comparison

and the back spring

It was described as very pretty!

Look at what my wife bought for me as a surprise?  It is a CRKT Slip KISS.  It is a very neat looking little knife.  I am very happy with it.

I finally got my Marlin Spike, sailing knife, in amber dyed bone, made by Rough Rider, nicely finished.

The spike locks (Backlock) but the blade does not lock.

Shown alone and with a family member, in the same attire.

I had one of those, take care, they bite! A couple of times as I closed it the blade caught me due to the open frame of the handle. I couldn't get used to it and ended up giving it away.

2XTap those heritage series knives are incredible. If I wasn't in the middle of a home purchase I'd have one of each of those. Very beautiful and classic looking.

Thanks. They are very nice knives. And while they are of simple classic design, pictures don't do them much justice.

Just got this one in a few days ago. From a earlier series of Great Easterns, low production run of Furtakers done with 440-C blades. Been meaning to get all of them that were produced but it's been a slow process.

This one is a #53 pattern Furtaker Muskrat. It's 4 1/8" in the closed position. These were a short run item with only 25 produced in each pattern in each handle material. They came serialized and with a CoA......

Blades on these are polished 440-C stainless. Bolsters and shield are Nickle/silver with brass liners and pins. Bone on this run is jigged Antique Amber. Fit and finish is typical GEC.....flawless. Blades are evenly ground with usable edges, clean polish throughout, backsprings are stout with great "walk & talk" on both ends, zero blade play on both, and not a gap to be found anywhere......

These guys up in Titusville know how to build a slippie!

And here's a couple pics of it with it's brother, a #53 pattern Furtaker Trapper I picked up a while back when these were first released.......

I've said this many times before, and I hate sounding like a broken record but as much as I love Case knives and Queen Cutlery nobody right now can touch GEC when comes to the level of consistant F&F they put into their knives.

I'm everybody's friend. Except for those I am not friendly with, which means they're not my friends. In which case I guess that means I am not everybody's friend. But I can be friendly with those who aren't necessarily my friends per say, but then just because you are friendly with someone doesn't exactly mean they are your friends........in which case it could be considered I am nobody's friend regardless of how friendly I am. But I do have friends!  :D

Ummm......yeah. That just made my brain hurt!

i asked my dad if he got one of those when he was in the usmc (69-78 i think) He said he saw them but never had one.
