I got this A G Russell sodbuster (or 'rancher') today. its in black micarta or rucarta. finish on it is perfect, and the snap on it is also perfect, it opens completely smoothly, and is completely solid in the open position, then as you close it, it is like it is being sucked back into the scales, if that makes sense. Early day yet Tom, but my first impressions are HERE. I carried it at work today and almost forgot I had it. Quite light for such a large blade. Certainly going to be seeing some use from me, though the large size is no very people friendly so I'll need to be careful where I carry it
