appraisal help on a backpacker

Ok, local guy has a Wenger Precise Backpacker in box, says its about a 1965 model with a lock blade

any ideas if its really that old and how much it'd be worth/what should I offer for it

some pics he sent me

The second picture shows a Marlboro edtion Victorinox Spartan. I'm not sure there were any SAKs with a locking blade in the '60s. :think:

What he said. It's the Marlboro Standard. The Standard doesn't have TP&T nor eye for splitring.
Value? Not much. They are ever present on Ebay and unless it's mint in box not really a collectors piece.
So offer him $5.

To sum up:
local guy has a used Wenger "lock blade" BOX, let's say from around 1985 (Wenger introduced packlock around 1979),
and he sent you a pic of Victorinox Standard Marlboro edition from et's say 1995
:D
