My bike tools are my Swisstool X which is my edc and a 1 euro costing 6 inch adjustable wrench which i keep in my jacket pocket.
I never really had any problems with my bike except for a couple of times when i put to much force on the pedals that cause the rear wheel to pull forward on one side and that causes the tire to rub against the frame. Loosened the main nut and put the wheel back in its correct position.

Thanks for sharing. I love seeing what others carry  :tu:

Although I wonder what you use for tyre-levers :salute:

My latest bike tool is Topeak Ratchet Rocket. I've neededwanted one for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger... :D

Here's couple of pics of said tiniest of the tiny ratchets:

In the (apparently waterproof) plastic case are the ratchet, bit kit /w chain tool and two small tire levers:

Given the minuscule size of the tire levers, I would probably only use them in emergency situation, but it's nice to have them as a backup as they take no space whatsoever.

Closer look at the ratchet and the bit storage:

Bit kit has pretty much all the bits you'll need with your bike, hex bits 2mm to 6mm, Philips #2 and Torx T25. In my case I'll be pairing this up with my Skeletool /w Bit Kit and Bit Extender, so I'm good for pretty much any screw around here :)

All in all, excellent piece of kit :tu:

I need to dig out some of my bike tools and add to this thread.  Still haven't located a lot of my stuff after the move though...

Speaking for chain tools I have not seen anyone's chains break on a ride in the last 5 years or so. Looks like they are solidly built now. I probably jinxed myself saying that  :P

Still can't believe we've gone up to 11 speed systems. Not too long ago I remember thinking 9 speed was awesome. I guess once they get to 14-15 we will not need front gears.

Who wouldn't want an 87 speed bike?  :D

I remember my first mountain bike- it was 18 speeds, and I recall everyone telling me then that there was no way I would use all of them.  And they were right.  More often than not I really only used the three gears on the crank.  Occasionally I would switch one of the rear gears, but not that often.  Probably 80% of my shifting was in those three gears.

That's funny, I am the exact opposite: I'll use all 7 on the wheel, and only scarcely change from my smallest crank-sprocket.

I went riding with this huge duusher two years ago and he simultaneously got a rear flat and broke his chain. It was hilariously satisfying :tu:

Topeak Nano TorqBar DX

Small ratchet with room for 2 bits in the shaft + torque limiting bit (Topeak calls it a TorqBit). Of course you can put a regular bit extender, or a 3rd bit in place of the TorqBit.
Feels solid built and is really nice machined, of course it is not made for rusty screws that haven't been moved in aeons.

Good topic this as I've quite a few bike multi-tools all of which are useful to a greater or lesser degree.

I always carry the following either on my bike or in my commute backpack: inner tube (of a suitable size for whichever bike I'm riding), tyre (tire!!) levers, pump, folding allen keys/screwdriver set, Leatherman Wave, pocket torch/flashlight (AA cell).

Unfortunately most of my decent/nice tools (I have an old & very nice Topeak Alien) are at home with my bikes. I do try & cycle into work at least once a week though so I do have these two stashed away in a drawer in my office in case of emergencies. The first one is rubbish (though the allen keys/screwdrivers are usable - the spanner is impossible to use) whilst the Bell is altogether nicer, it's still not great quality but the spanners are at least usable & useful though, they also lock into position which is a nice touch on such an inexpensive tool. Like other tools also shown this one splits in two for convenience/ease of use & the halves can be used as tyre levers (that's the idea anyway I think).

Cheap one:

The Bell - open & closed:

As I say I do have others & I'll post a photo of them if/when I get chance  :)

The picture is good... but we need more information. How wide does the spanner open... where can I get one...

My current setup.
Bigxtop tool roll, can be used as a saddle bag or chucked in a bigger bag depending what I'm riding.

Contents:

Clockwise, from top left: Hex keys, torx key, oil, tyre boot, tubeless tyre 'anchovies', tube, rag, gloves, Rebar, duct tape, chain tool (and spoke keys), puncture repair kit, 8mm hex key adaptor.

Multitool wiki says 18mm: http://wiki.multitool.org/tiki-index.php?page=Cool+Tool

AFAIK, it's been out of production for at least 10 years, probably more like 20. You could ask Gerber, they bought the rights to make them.

Neat little bit-driver in well crafted carry container. You can take the yellow bar out for storage... That said, it's overpriced

I thought this thread could do with some extra peddling…    ;)
So here are most of the tools I carry, depending on which trike/bike I’m riding.
Mostly Park Tools. Though I also really like the No-Name Allen key and spanner two-part multi tool – a cool Christmas present from my Aunty (bottom right, of the photo). :tu:

I’m contemplating the upgrade to the Topeak Ratchet Pocket DX.
How’s it holding up, over time?

Keep on pedalling!  :salute:
