.... and no, I'm not talking about body piercing  :facepalm:

I'm talking about the double chain worn with a waistcoat, which has your pocket watch attached to one end. Back when these were more commonplace, the other end of the chain may have held a compass, or sovereign case, pocket knife, or vesta case. Our pocket accoutrements have changed a bit since then though  :D

If you were to wear one to a formal event, and your chain had your matching pocket watch on one side, what would you have attached in the other pocket? If colour matching is important for you, answer for both a gold chain and for silver or stainless

I used to wear one for years a had a small photography medallion on the other end. Gold chain. Will have to look for it all.

I've got my Gandfathers and it has a soverign case on the other end, I've worn it twice. I really don't like waistcoats
