Just discovered this. Hope I'm posting in the right place.

Doesn't look too bad, I don't understand why no one has created a pump system for a life straw. They are usually 10-15 bucks and a plastic pump wouldn't add enough weight or price to make it useless.

I like the Sawyers water filters myself. A lot cheaper and there are no moving parts.

For basic filters Lifestraw, Sawyer, Katadyn etc. are good. I really like the Sawyer system better than Lifestraw. If you want to get everything out go with the Seychelle 28 oz bottle or 38 oz canteen with the Exteme filter. I dont use the others much any more except as a pre filter. If you use a bladder type hydration system Seychelle has an inline filter that removes everything but radiological contaminants.     :D
