Nice  :tu:

Getting one made won't be cheap. 3D metal printing maybe cheaper?

That's a good idea  :tu:

Maybe Tofty could help 3d printing one to you.

another good idea  :tu:

I think I really need a CNC router  :ahhh

Yeah, I know there mostly hollow, I got a leather punch that I really don't use and thought of using but it isn't brass, and it would need a extension of some sort, I just really like how you did yours!

Thanks JR  :salute:
Brass seems to be a good compromise, not too hard that its to hard to work on but (I hope) hard enough to last for a good amount of time  :tu:

Just a thought but how about making it out of wax then getting it investment cast in brass?

I have thought of that Mate but it needs to be small enough to fit on things like an axe handle (so I'm thinking about 25mm)
after casting I would still have to finish it off with a dremel and I don't think I can work that small

The idea of carrying on with the 415 after the Sparky415 didn't work was to see if it was doable/useable and to see how small I could work with the dremel

Just what are you trying to fit and in how small?

Ok, so yo pretty much got the 415 the size, but you just didn't get the Sparky arched over, and that's totally the design your after? And it's to be heated and or stamped?

No, the 415 numbers are bigger than the first one I tried
and I think I have settled on the first design
Yes the idea is to heat it up for wood and just cold press it in to leather  :tu:

I was going to ask if you wanted a diff design, but there are a few company's out there that aren't to bad on custom irons, but yeah they can get a little pricy!

Next little project (sorry not enough pictures)

I'm still packing stuff away from the meet  ::)
I need to find somewhere to store these little Gaz canisters safely
I have some spare PVC about the right size and 5ft/1.5m long, bits of wood, cork, foam etc

I came up with this
It's open at the top, there's about 15 in there so far, they just pop out the bottom as you pull the strap

Nice  :like:

I didn't know fire extinguishers were so clean inside.

My family have asked me for a wish list for my birthday coming soon, one of those blowlamps is on the list.

That's a useful bit of information, thanks for that. Although I have been storing mine with the canister removed.

Lots of things for it to pinball off if you snap the top off and it sets off like a rocket then.  You'll be ok as long as it doesn't hit your gas canister mortar launcher you just built
