I use the same stuff and had no problems

Operator error?

Is your leather clean?
I'm using old belts and gluing down the shiny side, seems to stick ok

Do you coat both surfaces and let it go tacky before sticking them together?  Make sure it's well clamped while it sets too.

I'll bet Sparky's got loads of old smurf heavy things in his garage he uses to weight his down. ;)

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

Since the one set dried I had enough to make one more, and ended with “1” extra, but I threw the others together and clamped them before the day was over, so today I can start fresh..

Ok, side ones ready, now on to the second side, got to let them sit under the redneck clamps for a few, then file the edges and then put some color into them, but that will have to wait till tomorrow..

That's an awesome idea for coasters, no way your glass/mug would get a coaster stuck to the bottom of it with a small amount of spillage unable to hold surface tension

Very good, I fig that would be a simple quick hour project but that took a good 2+hrs, I’m not to thrilled over it but it was fun, to a point literally, cause those are sharp!

Now I got to figure out which one next? Do I finish all the Star Wars or do I move on to the harder ones?

I'd finish the Star Wars ones first, but those others look great! The first one I made was the Apollo Lunar Lander

Went looking for a new leather belt for work last week at the thrift store. I lucked out and found a really nice thick leather one. The only thing was it was a size 52"    :o      Well I have a 33" waist so I had to cut it and punch some new holes.

Well what to do with the cut off piece ?

Nice new leather strop  :tu:

I started it but got about 5 steps into it before something came up, but here’s how it comes, you have to go piece by piece, then fold or shape each, then interconnect each by a very little tab that gets twisted or folded after slid into a small slot on the other piece..
