Now I got to figure out which one next? Do I finish all the Star Wars or do I move on to the harder ones?
JR

I'd finish the Star Wars ones first, but those others look great! The first one I made was the Apollo Lunar Lander
Yeah I think I’ll finish the Star Wars,, you like these metal earths? I’ve done a few, I think the first one I did was either the titanic or the scorpion, here’s a pic, sorry not the best..
JR

I do like the Metal Earth sets. For their size they are quite detailed and intricate. Tweezers and small needle nose and round needle nose pliers were very handy

Ha ha
Hey Rob, this is my little setup for the metal earths, I took a small tray from the dollar store and got creative, I punched holes both at top and bottom with a pioneerX awl, then ran zip ties, but the center one took a bic ink pen, cut it to size and ran the zip tie through it so it wouldn’t collapse it. Then dropped the tools in, I guess I should find or make something to hold the tweezers screwdrivers and other pen like tools upward. I have a bunch more but those are the mostly used for the metal earths..

The little guys been after me to get these things up and running, I told him we’re not working on the gas one, but I did have one that I bought like 12yrs ago that’s like new and one a friend gave me that is like 40yrs old. The newer one pretty much just needs battery’s, but that other needs some TLC!! I think he’s after these because he’s in robotic, but he says he’s been after me for years
Ive been so interested in that old one because look at it, what do you see? Yeah it’s 4wd, ok but look at the wheels, a little out of alignment? Yeah it’s 4ws(steering) and to top it off you see that silver strip from front to back, yeah it’s a chain, that’s how it moves! Not T-bones, or gears but a chain, weird? So now the little guys got a nice table and chairs, well bench up in his room to do hobbies and I think we’ve got a very interesting project ahead of us!

 :salute:

Yes I always go for the metal chuck, I've learnt my lesson in the past the plastic ones get chewed up
They are cunning with the pictures in their adds they sometimes look like metal but are not  :twak:

In the last few years where I was working we had a bonus scheme, mine got invested in the new Dewillt range
I was very pissed when the new range of batteries didn't fit my old ones  :twak:
So I started out using my old tools at home and the new ones at work, but I had too many chargers, batteries, tools etc so it got confusing
(+ a bosch strimmer and a no name circular saw) swapping things out of different toolboxes.....

In the end I gave all my old Dewillt tools (and there was a lot) to a young Mate for use in his workshop/garage
The tools were good, the old batteries were 'OK' but you needed to leave them in the chargers all the time for when you wanted to use them

(And my Bosch strimmer now runs off a dewillt batteries  ;) )

So I'm in a happy place with my battery drills now  :D
