So let's bring the Christmas mood here as well :D

This thread is for you to post your Christmas/NY pics :D

Show us what you've prepared for Christmas so far, your pictures from the very holidays, pictures of your gifts, your Christmas and NY meals, just anything related to Christmas and the New Year celebrations  :drool:

We haven't done lots of preparations yet and due to what happened to the family earlier this year, we may celebrate not exactly at home. But still, we'll buy a Christmas tree soon. We also like putting some stuff (not gifts) under the Christmas tree :D

So far we've got just a bag of candy & champagne (the orange one), two gifts for my sister. ... and that's it so far :D

Today we dropped off gifts for five families in need, and a cheque for $2500 to help other families out to Feed Nova Scotia.

The girls make most of the decorations themselves using recycled materials and SAKs.

I have got a few hundred lights set up and on outside for Christmas but still no tree

Cool, as a kid I also loved making some of the decoration for the tree  :drool:


Currently I'm pondering over the idea of spending $100 on myself for the holidays ... believe it or not, I've never done it, as 100 has always been a biggish sum for me to spend on ... well, me. Or anything else that's not bills or food lol. So... in this $100 ... I could fit that tiny MecArmy light I opened a thread about; I could fit a silver coin (for my tiny collection); I could also fit a SAK ....  :drool:

And then roll up my sleeves and live like an adult starting 2016  :ahhh

Good luck with that. I like to think that the reason its called "acting" like an adult is because no one knows how to do it for real. So we all pretend we know whats what, when in reality everyone is just muddling along with their nose barely above water.

And here it's illegal to cut your own tree and I wouldn't do it myself this way either... knowing those they sell were specifically grown for this person gives me some more peace of mind  :angel:

The plastic ones I don't like  :P The ones sold here are either wayyyy toooo plastic and ugly or waaaaaaaaaayyyyy tooooo expensive i.e. it'll become cost-effective only after 3-5 years and who knows if I'll still be around by that time  :facepalm: :D
