I'll open it on Christmas, though, whenever it arrives. With its free shipping it may arrive even later than that, lol. Hopefully not.

Congrats!!!!!!!!

Damn! I think I have a plan. It involves a lot of beer and being passed out during Christmas.

If my family does as they are told, I'll not be getting anything. I suspect I'll end up receiving something though (guess where I get my aversion to conformity from) despite the no gift rules. I am hoping the brothers follow my instructions, but I am expecting disobedience from my Mother, and from my youngest brother's mother-in-law.

My Mother has already told me she didn't like sticking to my rules last year, and has said she will do whetever she feels like. I have told her that's fine, but I'll be sticking to my rule of kids only, even if she doesn't, and not to expect anything from me. I doubt she'll listen to me, any more than I'll listen to her. Sounds harsh, but we have a very good understanding about us following our own principles, so long as everyone knows in advance what those principles are  :)

Why this rule :ahhh

Okay, I got the knifffe and I'm stillllll pretending to be an adult and trying not to open it :D I did just open it and peeked inside to see if I actually got a knife in there, lol  But otherwise I haven't touched it or taken it out or played with it whatsoever :D

Came with a cool nylon baggie :D

Easy, I don't do Christmas any more  :D (other than getting something for the kids in the family). No cards, no tree, no lights, no Christmas dinner.

Bliss!!!

First christmas dinner of the season done.  Went to the pub with work for a very nice 3-course meal (and a couple of cheeky shandies ).  One of my colleagues brought in some home-made mince pies, and very good they are too.  I might just have another. :P

My kids had their Christmas bazaar at school today, and my son got me the bungee cord with hooks, and my daughter got me the SAK a like. :)

She said she picked that out cause she knows just how much I love knives like that.

Things don't have to be expensive to be awesome when they are chosen purely out of love.
