The bolsters on the original one are welded? I can't remember? Do you plan on keeping them?

Oh yes, that's looking much better.
Didn't get very far with this over Christmas, but drilled the springs for the larger centre barrel pin last night and did a trial fit using the old steel liners. Really struggled to get the knife together - could assemble the opener layer ok, but couldn't get the blade/awl layer built. Will keep trying. I tidied the shed too so I've got a bit more space to work - hope to get time to cut the liners and scales soon.
H this has to take top priority in your life right now. Put everything else aside, I'm sure everyone will understand. If it would help I will explain how many people you have waiting on this.
