You have to keep an eye on the chips. They're thin so, when they begin to get done, they easily become over fried.

Bread looks great!

Watching them was a bit of my challenge. Loong time of nothing happening, and then suddenly they turn brown. :)

Toss couple strips of bacon on those chips while you are cooking, or make them before, and leave fat. Will give nice taste to those chips.   Those look really good

Forgot to defrost bread for lunch.
The family was hungry, so I made a Viking age style flat bread, wich took less than an hour to make.
The family loved it, gobbeled it down with butter and cheese.

ingredients?

Old vikings?

First you dig up the bones. Then you grind them down to....

But if you want to do it the easy way, you use whole spelt and fine spelt flour, yeast, salt, water and butter. (And cheating a little, using a bit of olive oil. They did travel to places that had olives, but I doubt it was a very common ingridient up north).

Yesterday I made some high calorie hiking snack bars.
I followed this recipie: http://m.foodstorageandsurvival.com/cc73ley/articles/85223/Make-Your-Own-Homemade-Survival-Bars-Improved-Recipe-
But used unflavoured gelatine, and added half a cup of baking cocoa powder.

They turned out pretty good :)
