Keep check on blurry pics of PSTs on ebay :D lot of the times it will be an older PSTII that is marked like a regular PST and the seller doesn't know or really care that it is a difference :cheers:

One could be had for about $30 - $35. Pristine examples even under $50 for sure...

Hello,
I recently acquired a PST on a pawn shop hunt.  I like to browse pawnshops because you never really know what you might find.  In one shop, there was a cardboard box that had dozens of knives and mt's.  I asked the guy behind the counter if I could look through it.  Mostly there were some crappy China made knives and mt's but at the bottom, I saw something that sparked my curiosity.  Pulling it out, I immediately noticed the writing on the handle: Leatherman Tool.  Not having owned a PST in 17 years, I did not immediately recognize it but I was hoping that it was.  Money passed hands ($15) and I took it home to get cleaned up.  Looking online, I was looking for hints that this was a genuine PST.  I found this very site and learned about the date stamp in the handles, mine is 0394.  I was so excited.  A ST 200 is my go-to mt so the PST is considerably smaller but I think that she will still ride my hip as soon as I get a replacement sheath.  I might not use her but she will be a reminder of better times.
I will post pics when I get a chance.  Thank you for reading my story.

Hi folks. Can't remember exactly when I bought this, except it was way back and hardly used. Appreciate if someone can help me identify the model# (original PST, PSTII, or something else?) and approx. year it was in production please. Many thanks in advance !
