Does anybody know if a PST II in Black Oxide finish was ever released by Leatherman?
Alternatively if anybody has modded a PST II to Black Oxide finish?
I've searched the web but not found any of either.
TIA

Hello Heywood. Not that I’m aware. This link gives the chronology of PST and variants https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=5877.0

BO is challenging to do DIY, so I don’t think this has been done.

For production and sales - no.
As a factory prototype - rather yes, but no one saw them.
User Roguewrench promised to post photos of the BO PST II prototype, but have not posted:

While it appears no PST IIs were BO, there were BO PSTs. Link here https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=34354.0

Gonna carry the PST again tomorrow... still want to replace the blade with the SOG saw on this baby but will just have to wait until the challenge is over... provided I’m also able to get my hands on one too...

A new to me PST.

I gave my first PST away several years ago. I had acquired a SOG Paratool and a LM Wave, so I didn't think I needed a PST and gave it to a family member. Funny enough, I now find that I miss the old PST. I thought the Rebar would end up being the replacement, and perhaps it is.

However, when The Great PST Challenge got announced, it gave me the excuse I needed to get a PST back in my hands. Such a delightful multitool; I'm now not sure why I let it get away......

The Phillips driver would seem to be in-line, the other drivers are out of line. Would seem to match me fairly well, in that regard.  ;)

(Image removed from quote.)

Interesting transitional, new inline medium flat but old style Phillips.

Switching from the SOG PPP to an early PST. No date code, probably c1988. In good shape for a 30yr old tool.  :tu:
