Knifeless Rebar looks like a lot of wasted space on the file side

Agreed. If I were king of leatherman, I would have stuck something else in there, or at least put one of the flat drivers from the other side over there.

Im kinda disappointed in the knifeless Rebar. They just threw some Wave scissors into it. This was Leathermans opportunity to add some awesome blade length scissors to this chassis. Id would have been happy even if it was just based off the Wingman design, with different pivots. Nope. There will be a nice big spacer where the serrated blade went too. They couldn't even be bothered to fit the mini bit driver In there.

Or even the small bit driver. Nope. We get a washer there instead.

"Victorinox adds a new member to their iconic red cellidor-handled knives. Called the “Walker,” the 84mm knife features three folding tools: a main blade; a wood saw; and a combination opener, flat-head screwdriver, and wire stripper. And of course, the cellidor scales also hide the classic tweezers and toothpick."

Hope they make one with scissors --- the one pictured above is basically a Bantam with a saw, right? Or if not a Bantam with scissors, a Bantam with a metal saw/file....

Benchmade is at SHOT and have new stuff on display. Sounds like the Griptilian and Mini Grip are getting updated - G10 scales and 20CV blade steel. This news broke before SHOT but it sounds like they have the full updated line on display.

I don't understand the Knife less Rebar.

Why not a Knife less Wave (their most popular MT, correct?) With outside scissors.

A knifeless Wave would be awesome. Outside scissors :tu: but what about the other slot? A full length, outside-access bit driver would be cool

It is a renamed Lumberjack. And I agree, metal file would make a very interesting one.

Ok, so the fact the glass breaker doesn't extend past the carabineer makes.....no sense whatsoever IMO.

Doesn't look like they moved the nail nicks to line up with the handle cutouts.... which might look a little sloppy when all closed up  :-\
You called it... looks sloppy (see video above).

Open tool. Grip lower arm with bit extending past palm. Hit window as hard as you can. Ok, great, but then the upper arm collapses down on your hand. The sharp-ish edges of the lower handle will feel great inside your tightly gripped palm upon impact.

I like the idea of a glass-breaker bit. I like that they actually developed a new bit for their bit drivers. But a ER skeletool could have been a lot better than this. That is really my biggest problem with the whole Skele-line, they leave a lot on the table with them.

I'm disappointed with Kershaw and CRKT. I like their designs, but it seems like they're making everything in 8Cr13MoV these days. Kershaw has the expensive automatics. I miss the middle ground options like the Knockout and Carajas.
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

It kinda makes sense though, the carbide tip would have killed pockets like crazy. The end result is a tool where the idea is better than the execution (have we seen that before?).
