In case you missed it on Facebook, I slipped on the ice tonight and broke my right ankle.  It's 3:30 am and I just got home from the hospital but it looks like I'll be heading back later today to  have surgery to put some pics and plates in.

For those who don't know, my left ankle is already held together with 8 screws and a plate.

I've got a lot on my plate now and it's all gone up in snow right now as I'll be on my ass for at least the next couple of months.

I'm pretty upset about all of this as you can imagine- and all of this because the city can't be bothered to put salt down.

Consider yourselves warned- I'll be around a lot more for a while because there's literally nothing else I can be doing.

oh crap. that's horrible, my mother had a similar injury once and it was pretty pretty annoying.

Ah man, I read your other post last night while watching the tv show "Code Black" I must say at least it's not as bad as some of the accidents they were dealing with! Oh yeah, a little trick to everyone.. I'm sure everyone has there work boots? Normally they have like a very thick rubber sole, I bought short 1/4" hex screws for like $2, and well screwed them right in! I must say it works great for on ice, no they don't punch threw and step on them, and no it doesn't get your feet wet, the only thing is when you have to walk into a store you "click click, click click" through out, unless it's carpet..
