What can you tell me about this Ka-Bar?

I had to make an unplanned trip home last week. One of the up shots was a conversation about collectables and their values. Much to great delight my dad produced the lock blade I'd bought him back in SA,in the 80s to use as a work knife



Now,bear in mind,I Havnt seen this knife in....well,years and years! It's still as nice as the day I bought it!

However,adult Kirk was very surprised when he looked at the tang stamp!






So,just out of curiosity,what can the brain trust tell me about this old trooper?
