Mattexian, sorry to hear about the unexpected hospital visit but glad that the mass was found.  I wish you the best of luck.  Don't think there's any SAK that will help you out with a situation like that but positive thoughts will.  Have a speedy recovery and here's hoping to only great news for you.

Thanks for the positive vibes, the oncologist is confident we can beat this with better living thru chemistry. ;)  I'm already three-fourths of the way thru my chemo treatments,  with a couple of aimed radiation cycles after that, and I should be good as new (with worn parts).

Another part of the choice is that this one is kinda a morale booster for me, as it was one I drooled over in the display case,  until one day that knife shoppe had closed their door and I didn't have anywhere else to buy one, til I watched and waited on ebay, finally lucking out last summer.  Long ago, I dreamed of becoming an astronaut,  like Jose Jimenez, repeatedly checking out the Space Shuttle Operator's Manual from the library,  and this is a reminder of those rosy days, before reality smacked me in the face.

I don't just carry one SAK on an ordinary day , I guess it would depend on what was on me at the time .
