You think the capt took a night cap before he called it a night

A terribly lit picture for today of my Cadet and Surefire 9P with Malkoff M61LL and AA sleeve. Enough lumens to get the job done and great runtime.  I'm not carrying it, but it was handy for a quick pic.

Flint, I like your Zebra pen mod.  I made up 3 of those and use them at work.  :tu:

Thanks! They're awesome aren't they? I put a gel refill in and it's the perfect pen now. I've made a couple of them now, lost my last one....I've got another one still in the package waiting to be fixed up.

Nice Cadet!

Nice Cadet!

They certainly are sturdy.  It still bothers me there is one plastic piece left, but it hasn't proven to be a problem so far.  I use Fisher Space Pen medium blue refills so I can write upside down if I ever need to because I'm a nerd.  I think each pen ends up being about $12 in supplies but its the best pen I've ever owned and cheap enough I don't feel too bad if I lose it.

And nice OC to you!

I've used the Space Pen refill too, they are nice, I just like writing with gels better. If you ever want to try one, get the Zebra G-301 gel refill, you may have to trim a hair off the end but mine seems to fit just fine as is. You need to take the little plug piece out of the original f701 ballpoint and stick in the end of the gel refill.

And I agree about them being sturdy. I've dropped them a lot of times, sit on them in my back pocket and carried in my coat pocket with keys and other stuff. Still looks and functions like brand new.
