I just wanted to suggest that it would be nice to add a "thank you" button for the forums.
This is something i grew fond of in the last years for the reader as well as for the poster. It satisfies to value cool and useful contributions and also it is nice to get a little endorsement from time to time.

So how do you think, would that add something to the user experience?

For the technical part: there is a plugin for SMF called Thank-o-matic, we use it in other forums with great success. You can see how many thanks you got, who thanked for tzhe post and you get also an overall statistic in your profile page.

Are you referring to the "Facebook Like" button in the first post of each topic? Yes, I saw that but this is not what I meant. (Or at least not the same thing as I am used to)

I was talking about something not connected to facebook and, much more important, you can give a thank you for every single post, not just whole topics. As it is not connected to facebook, it strictly stays within the forums and you have a statistic about your received and given thanks, you can also go and see one's posts that were thanked for.

Thanks to god, at least that means I'm not as stupid as I just felt :P

Maybe it is an issue with the permissions? Maybe the user group I am in has no permission to use/see it.

You do have 12 Likes, by the way.

I suspected you were using edge, but chrome should show likes, unless you switched them off.
