Odd 5 layer mod.

I was looking for a Wenger Esquire I had misplaced and I found this knife in a drawer.
It's a 5 layer knife with Plus scales. Both scales have the imbedded Victorinox logo.

The tools on the top are: main blade, combo tool, wood saw, metal saw/file, scissors, inline phillips and a magnifier.
the back spring tools are: corkscrew with mini screwdriver, chisel, hook - no reamer.
I have absolutely no memory of acquiring this one. All the tools are unused and look factory new.

What is this? Who might have made it?

I have no idea.  My best guess would be from the 'bay 10 to 12 years ago. I certainly wouldn't have had a 5 layer custom made - too big for comfortable EDC - IMO.

Yeah it's not my type of thing either, still a cool find though.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the better I like it. I'll put it in my car's glovebox for "Just In Case".

BTW, I just tried the pen - it works perfectly after sitting in a drawer for 10 to 12 years. Amazing.

Er, no. Five layers. Not all of which have the same thickness.

I grabbed the knife in question from my car's glove compartment and whisked it back in time some 75 years to show the layers  ::) ::)
