What knife are you taking mate ???

This one.  A nice Bushcrafter, not that I suspect I'll get much in the way of Bushcrafting done.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Up here it's not the bears we worry about (we eat them for breakfast), it's the Werewolves you've got to watch out for.  :(

I take it then that that knife of yours is made out of silver? :)

You may have, I can't remember.  To answer; no, it was made by a chap called Dave Batstone.  TBH it was a eBay gamble that payed off very well.  It even saw a little use over the weekend, mostly in food and fire prep.

The trip went very well, we did about 35 miles in two and a half days of wild camping/hiking.  Sometimes wet, mostly cold but almost always with a smile.  The only downer is that I appear to have destroyed my right knee and ankle on the last day while double timing it to get to the train station on time.  :(  The good news is that I found out that knives with nickel sliver mounts do work on werewolves.  :D  I'll make do up a report when I get some shots from my friend with the camera.
