US based, but not surprising

Top 10 Most Unreliable Cars of 2017

I'm surprised about the Ford Fiesta and Focus, those models used to be very reliable.

My brother had a 2013 Ford Focus and it was an awful car. So many problems with that car with not even 75k miles on it. He traded it in bought a Nissan Altima and hasn't looked back.

Miami's 950-ton 'Instant Bridge' collapsed onto cars at red lights killing at least four people - days after it was installed in 6 hours

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5506597/Pedestrian-bridge-collapses-cars-people-campus.html

I wonder who made it, installed it and declared it safe... (modified to give more/better  details)

engineers were stress testing the bridge at the time it fell down

Stress testing is a complicated process which involves tightening and loosening steel cables designed to pull sections of the bridge together, and applying precise amounts of weight in exact locations on the structure.

Robert Bea, a Berkeley engineer and catastrophic risk expert, told the Herald that this process has caused bridges to collapse before, pointing to a bridge in Australia that was destroyed in the 1970s when the steel buckled as it was being adjusted.

Two workers were on the bridge at the time it collapsed as part of the testing, officials said, but would not confirm whether they were among the dead.

Gov. Rick Scott said an investigation will get to the bottom of 'why this happened and what happened,' adding that if anyone had done anything wrong, 'we will hold them accountable.'

The 174-foot 'instant bridge' hailed as a feat of engineering and safety, was installed Saturday morning but was not due to open to the public until 2019.

It was still under construction, and it was designed to be a cable bridge, they hadn’t installed the center tower yet.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

The story is not important, but, their definition of SUV is....

"He was spotted arriving back home at his Chiswick, west London property, being dropped off in an enormous black SUV at around 2.40am."

It is called a bus or van... not an SUV.

Unless anything big is an SUV

If that's an SUV, what sport is it involved in?
By the way, it's a People Mover.  :pok:  :D
