Their ads were always omnipresent in Boy's Life, Field and Stream etc., during the 60's so I probably imprinted on these knives at an early age...  :D

I have a couple of Broderna Jonsson's and a Carl Andersson in this style. A Broderna Jonsson is actually pictured in one of the ads.

I bought the attached ad sheets off ebay and the nostalgia just came flooding back!

Show us your capped Moras!!!

I wish they still made the classics with the wider and thicker blade and a 90 degree spine.

Here's the 50's-60's Carl Andersson next to a Lam Classic # 2 from 2013.

Very nice comparison pics. :tu:
Hows that Carl Anderson in the hand with that pommel?  It looks like a kids knife in size.
On another note, Im very curious of how the Eldris will compare to a No2.

That fat blade on the CA makes the grip look a lot shorter. All the pommel knives are about 3/4" shorter than a #2. With XL hands the pommel falls naturally between my ring and little finger but my whole hand will fit the grip if I grab it like a tennis racket (straight grip). These have a grip size more like a #1 (length wise) but are still full size knives. I have a CA kids (Scout) knife and will try to shoot a comparison shot tomorrow.

Here's the Carl Andersson with the CA Scout knife (scout embossed on sheath).

And again with a Broderna Jonsson on top and a tiny KJ Eriksson on bottom

And my newest got a new sheath and a new edge...it was as dull as a butter knife!
