  • Yoo-hoo, big summer blowout!
When I was looking up the specs of each tool to figure which I wanted to vote for, I could not find the PowerGrab on SOG's website and its marked discontinued or out of stock on other websites?  ???
That was quick, 2017 isn't THAT far in the rear view mirror.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

PowerAccess is my #1 choice. A good step in the right direction for SOG. The PowerGrab was a nice try and the Sync I/II is a real MT innovation. The other stuff seems like rehashed stuff to me. Though, the Pioneer X won 2016, so innovation/progress didn't decide MT.o MT of the year in 2016.

Going from a Pioneer to a Pioneer X wasn't innovation or progress? For Vic it was monumental!  :D

I voted. Pretty lackluster year eh? That means 18 is gonna be better and from what I've heard it will be much better. Man I really wanted to vote for the power access but just couldn't after reading the thread for it unfortunately. I'm voting for innovation I suppose. SOG q3 and Leatherman tread?

Is there a write in option?

Yup.  It was the last few weeks in THIS THREAD.

What were you hoping to add?

Pretty lackluster year eh?

That was my thought as well... Some interesting, innovative ideas, but mostly in the niche/gimmick category by my estimation. Nothing that brings functionality, quality, or tool variety to a new level or anything.

Looking forward to 2018. :)

Power Access for me.  Only ine I got, and nothing else really appealed to me.  The Syncs are interesting, but didn't check them out.

What were you hoping to add?

Good question.

My usual write in when I'm not impressed by any of the options on the ballot is C'thulu. But he really isn't a multipurpose implement.

Voted  :salute:.

One vote for Leatherman (and since I'm not into the whole "cut an existing tool in two and call it a new one ..." hype you know which Leatherman got my vote, mostly because it really was something I hadn't seen before.

And two votes for SOG, since I'm not that keen on the Baton series, my votes went to the Powergrab (since that's the one I would most likely buy out of the SOG collection), and a vote for the Sync I, because I like the look and size of it (the Sync II seems a bit too much to carry as belt buckle or on the strap of a backpack).  The Sync I on the other hand looks great as a backup for a SAK for those occasions that a full sized plier based tool would be frowned upon.

I hope that I’ll be getting a tool with “MTO” and an usb drive on it soon.

Stange ... I was hoping to get myself a fancy MTO bracelet .
