Victorinox Delemont Clipper
on: April 01, 2016, 02:04:21 AM
I had the old Wenger clipper, so I’ve noticed some changes with the Victorinox version: better tweezers, toothpick, and slimmer scales. With a SAK this thick, the Wenger Evo Scales made it a bit too bulky.  I like the changes Vic has done.

At 65mm, it’s slightly bigger than the 58mm line, and the clipper makes it much thicker:

More robust blade:

The nail file doesn’t have the SD tip (I would change that). The clipper units swings deploys in a straightforward manner.  Honestly, it works pretty well, but I’ve used the Class SD scissors for trimming nails and they work just as well.

Scissors are the serrated kind that bob up and down when you use them.  The serrated scissors can probably cut things the 58mm scissors can’t, but their bobbing can interfere with precise cutting.

Mine does nightstand duty. It seems a bit bulky for the keychain.

Glad to hear they put slimmer scales on them.  I hate the evolution scales because they needlessly bulk up the SAK.

Yes, the Evo scales on the old clipper were awful.
