Going multi-less :(
on: January 24, 2007, 07:11:12 AM
I'm flying to Florida on Friday, and while finalizing my list of things I need to pack, I realized I won't be able to bring a multi !?!?!
I'm only going down for the weekend, so I'm only planning on a carry on bag.  This will be the first time I haven't had a multi on me since I came to this site a few months back.  I think I'm already experiencing seperation anxiety.

I was joking with my girlfriend that I'm going to buy one when we get down there, then mail it to myself before we head back  >:D

That's exactly what I was going to suggest...

Hey 665ae, will you be going to a place which you will eventually be visiting again?   If it's something like family or friends, maybe you can leave a multi there so when you go back, you'll have it waitin for ya?

...or send a one you already own down to where you're staying, then send it back up home when you leave.

But having to buy one down there is a good excuse O0

I had the same thing going on and I now plan on getting a new SAK when I'm traveling.  Then mailing it home before I leave.  Good thing I don't travel too much...I'd be in further n the poor house. :)

I see nothing wrong with picking up another multitool while on a trip...afterall what happens if you need one to tweak the hotels air conditioner/heater.

You guys are making me want to take a trip, just so I'll have an excuse to buy another multitool.  ;)

Question: On really LONG trips, are you allowed to buy TWO multitools?
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Bob,

On really long trips you are allowed to buy two multis only if your trip involves more that two flights. :D

Well, I'm back.  No new multi's though.  I couldn't find one in any of the insanely overpriced movie studio related theme park stores.  I did buy some insanely overpriced theme park merchandise though :)

Nope, I didn't go to that insanely overpriced theme park.  I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.  I did see Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, Jimmy Neutron, Woody Woodpecker, and the Penguins from Madagascar.  I looked, but none of them had multi's...

Come on, I am certain that both Jimmy Neutron and the penguins must have had multis.  Jimmy is always fixing and building stuff and the penguins seem a little too smart to go anywhere unprepared....
