Need help from Grant Lamontagne

In an earlier post, you mention that you purchased a "cheap laser etcher."  I have searched under "laser etcher" on eBay and Amazon and only find very expensive (hundreds of dollars) laser machines.  Will you kindly tell me what to search under to find the cheap models?  Thank you, Bryan

I happen to know that Grant has slightly limited Internet access for a bit so it might be worth sending him a private message that he's definitely going to see in the end.

I am back....

I had a cheapo Benbox laser that cost just over $100 and lasted a week or so.  I wouldn't recommend it.  I can't find that specific one on eBay anymore but I see a bunch of similar ones marked NEJE brand that are in the same price range and I don't expect are any better.

Bear in mind these only work on plastic and wood, not metal, so their use is somewhat limited.

Just search for Laser Engraver and you should see a pile of them for sale.  If I can help any further just ask- I'm home now and have all the Internets I need now!   :tu:

Bear in mind that I got no after sales support, the machine died in a week or so, and can't do metal, clear or any shiny surfaces.  I don't know the specific product in the link and haven't tried it but it has similar specs to what I had, but with a slightly smaller print area.  If you try it, remember that I warned you against it, because other than a cool toy that lasted a week and was barely worth $100 as an amusement.  At best.

Fauxton lights are cheap and you can pick them up for very little- even less if you are willing to buy them in volume.

I bought 30 or so to do up like that Swiss Army Knights one, but as I said I barely got one done before the laser went belly up.

Luckily we have some other Swiss Army Knights merchandise coming....
