Here's the wood one finished. It probably needs a little more polishing but I've nearly worn my arm off to get it this far.
The wood is finished by coating with superglue and sanding smooth... repeat many times working up to 6000 grit for a glassy smooth surface. You can see the reflection of the keys in the side of the stick.

I used to take a victorinox 64gb flash with me on my keychain but it doesn't fit anymore with my keysmart...

Almost never used it anyway...

I transfer a lot of files daily, but I don't carry a USB as part of the EDC

If the files are important enough to have with me then they are way too important to be risk of losing. It is that simple.

I can see people work in IT field could use them for jump starting computers.
