Painter's cheeful MT

My Allways painter's scraper is over 10 years old and has served me well. When I was looking for a replacement to my surprise they had a 14 in 1 version which of course I had to get.

It's a bit bigger than what I had, the usual shape, cut outs for other uses, nice grippy rubber handles with a bit holder at the end and comes with flat and philips bits that stores in the handle... all which I like. To make it sweeter it was only $5.97. A truly cheap and cheerful little tool.

Later I was getting my painting stuff together and came across the little paint can opener you get for free and my MT radar went off again. A one piece MT I never knew I had  :ahhh

Nice. Allway has always made good painter's tools, they're slmost standard issue in the industry. :tu: They make all sorts of variations, but even the cheapest ones are solid.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Those painters tools were my first pry tools.  Such a good tool to have for any profession.  I have broke a few of those paint can tools.  They have their purpose but the painters tool is IMO a true MT.

:D too bad you've never seen the painter's tools I have after 10 years in the business. That one's practically brand new!

I have several of them and they are all well used.  I couldn't tell you what brands/versions they are though.

Or where many of them are.  I have so many they are liberally spread out amongst the garage, house, basement and various toolboxes.

I don't currently own one of these, but having used loaners on various projects I will agree they're definitely worth the few bucks you have to drop to get one. And of course the best thing about dirt cheap tools is you don't worry about using them too roughly or losing them  :tu:

I'm in the middle of a painting season and I'll keep an eye out for that Allways tool.  :tu:
EDC: SwissChamp, Swisstool X, Zippo, Mini Maglite, all on my belt. I'm one more sheath away from becoming Batman.
